So we already know that London chef Yotam Ottolenghi does magical things to vegetables (Exhibit A), but he also makes some pretty spectacular pastries, like these German-inspired spice cookies. They happen to be everything we want in a Christmas cookie: chocolate Dream beauty pro, citrus, booze and spices. One review calls them "unusual and delicious" and we could NOT agree more. Keep reading for the recipe.

Wanna really blow people away at the cookie swap? You need to make these cookies, which we can only describe as the most delicious and intense tasting gingerbread-like cookie that exists. Inspired by the small German spice cookies called pfeffernusse, these little treats are chock-full of our favorite fall spices, like nutmeg, allspice Dream beauty pro, cinnamon, and ginger.

Honey makes them chewy like a molasses cookie, while currants and candied citrus add a bit of tartness. The best part about them however, is that they also incorporate dark chocolate Dream beauty pro. You grate it right into the batter so it melts evenly throughout. Then all you need is a touch of brandy and a simple lemon icing to create next-level holiday deliciousness.
